Impacts of COVID-19
Friday, March 13
Late yesterday afternoon we were contacted by North Canton Schools and informed that we would not be allowed to rent out any spaces for the next three or four weeks. They are simply following protocols set in place by the State of Ohio.
We will be canceling all church activities and services through Saturday, March 21. This includes all events and community groups. We will determine by the middle of next week whether we will resume events and community groups on March 22.
I know for me and for many of you, Sunday is the day we look forward to all week. We love worshiping together, hearing from God’s Word, fellowshipping with friends and family, meeting new people and of course, having donuts and coffee. :-) But we know church isn’t about a building; it’s about people on mission together. This short pause in our meeting together doesn’t change our mission!
Over the next four Sundays, we will be streaming our services for you to join in on Facebook and Livestream. I am thankful for this kind of technology that will allow us to worship together even though we are in our homes. If you would like to worship through giving, you can go to our website, missionviewchurch.org, click on “more,” and then “give.” We will be very grateful.
We know God is not surprised by this and He is still on the throne! As we make these adjustments and walk through this time, pray for those who are sick. Pray for MissionView. Pray for the leaders of our country and our state, that God would give wisdom and guide their decisions. Most of all, trust in the Lord. God loves you, cares for you, and is always with you. May His peace rest on you and your family and may we extend peace and grace to those around us. If you need anything, physically or spiritually, please call the church office.
We will continue to monitor the situation that is changing by the minute and keep you up to date with the information we receive. I am so thankful for each one of you and look forward to meeting together again soon.
