Pastor Matt Haupt was born in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating high school, he moved to Langley, British Columbia to study at Pacific Worship School. Soon after completing school, Matt moved back to Dayton where he met his wife, Jonell. Since graduating from International Seminary, Matt has served in full-time ministry, filling many different roles. Matt is currently working on a Master’s degree in theology and enjoys reading, running, tennis, and spending time with family. Matt and Jonell have three children: Noah, Adeline, and Emma.
Matt grew up in a Christian home, where he went to church every Sunday with his family. He thought he had accepted Christ as a second-grader in a chapel service at Dayton Christian Elementary School. Much later, he found out that following Christ is more than a prayer. It was early on in his marriage that God revealed to Matt that he was only living for himself. This nearly destroyed his marriage, but God in His amazing mercy and grace revealed Himself to Matt through His Word in a marriage counseling session where the pastor shared the Gospel. At that moment God made the good news of Jesus something personal for Matt. God saved him that day, as well as his marriage. Ever since, Matt has been trying to tell everyone the life-changing good news we have in Jesus. Jonell and Matt have been married since 1997 and are so thankful for His grace! God is good!
Joe was raised in Kirtland, Ohio. After high school, he attended the University of Akron to study mechanical engineering. During his sophomore year, he visited a college ministry where, after attending for a few short weeks, he surrendered his life to Christ. He began to develop a passion for the Lord and for college ministry. He quickly got involved leading Bible studies, serving on mission trips, and volunteering. Joe began to learn that God gifted him with a passion for disciple making. It started to become clear that God was actually calling him into pastoral ministry rather than engineering. After completing his engineering degree with a business minor, he went back to school for a Master's degree in seminary while also interning with the college ministry. Joe met his wife, Jennifer, at church and their love for each other sparked while on a mission trip in Yucatan, Mexico. They got married in 2018 and have a daughter named Naomi. Joe and Jen have enjoyed leading Bible studies and premarital counseling together and also love hosting people in their home. After his internship, Joe entered a season of leadership transition and served as the Interim Pastor of the college ministry. Joe is excited to use his God-given gifts in his discipleship role at MissionView Church. In his free time, Joe enjoys soccer, skiing, reading, making homemade sausages, teaching his daughter Slovenian, and hiking with Jen and their golden retriever, Daisy.
PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES
Andrew grew up in Diamond, Ohio. He grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his savior at a young age. While he always desired to learn more about God, he really grew in his faith by going on a missions’ trip to Mexico. Upon coming back, he began serving in his church in as many ways as possible. He eventually felt God leading him into ministry while he was being mentored by his youth pastor. After graduating high school, Andrew attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where he majored in Pastoral Studies. Through his studies at Moody and time in the city, he began to see his love for fellowship and growing in biblical community. Andrew met his wife Allie while at Moody, and they married in 2019. Andrew has been blessed by those who poured into him while he was in youth group and a college student, and he desires to do the same for the students of MissionView Church. He enjoys pouring into students, spending time with them, and growing closer to God alongside them. In their free time, Andrew and Allie enjoy hiking, board games, visiting coffee shops, and spending time outside.
