Our

Elders

Elders play a vital role in the leadership of the church. The men selected for this role have been identified based on the biblical character qualifications and their track record of service at MissionView. They play an active role in caring for the staff, championing the mission of MissionView Church, discerning false doctrine and praying for the church.

Josh Chandler

Josh and his wife, Joey, moved to Ohio from California in February 2013. They have five daughters: Bethany, Miranda, Makayla, Liliana & Athena. They met in high school, grew up together and went to the same church. Josh is the CFO of Whisker and Joey is a stay-at-home mom. They served as certified foster parents for 12-years and are now enjoying life as grandparents. They are excited to see how God continues to work through MissionView.

Bill and Kathy believe that the local church is the hope and the light of the world. They are excited to see how the Lord will continue to use MissionView Church to bless the North Canton community.

Matt Haupt
Matt Haupt

Elder/Lead Pastor

Pastor Matt Haupt was born in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating high school, he moved to Langley, British Columbia to study at Pacific Worship School. Soon after completing school, Matt moved back to Dayton where he met his wife, Jonell. Since graduating from International Seminary, Matt has served in full-time ministry, filling many different roles. Matt is currently working on a Master’s degree in theology and enjoys reading, running, tennis, and spending time with family. Matt and Jonell have three children: Noah, Adeline, and Emma.
Matt grew up in a Christian home, where he went to church every Sunday with his family. He thought he had accepted Christ as a second-grader in a chapel service at Dayton Christian Elementary School. Much later, he found out that following Christ is more than a prayer. It was early on in his marriage that God revealed to Matt that he was only living for himself. This nearly destroyed his marriage, but God in His amazing mercy and grace revealed Himself to Matt through His Word in a marriage counseling session where the pastor shared the Gospel. At that moment God made the good news of Jesus something personal for Matt. God saved him that day, as well as his marriage. Ever since, Matt has been trying to tell everyone the life-changing good news we have in Jesus. Jonell and Matt have been married since 1997 and are so thankful for His grace! God is good!

Todd LePage
Todd LePage

Elder

Todd is from North Canton and has lived here together with his wife, Melinda, for 30+ years. They believe God works out his redemption plan through the local church and are excited to support the ministry of MissionView in this community. Todd is a retired former owner of The Whitacre Engineering Company and serves on the boards of World Help and Equip Ministries. Melinda is a retired registered nurse. They have two grown children: Meredith (Stephen) Glendenning and daughter Vada in Norfolk, VA and Eric who is a construction superintendent in Huntsville, AL. They enjoy spending time both at Chautauqua Lake, NY and riding their two horses.

Randy Smith
Randy Smith

Elder

Randy and Linda Smith grew up in North Canton. They have lived in Cleveland Ohio and Louisville Kentucky before moving back home. They are the parents of four, and currently have five grandchildren. They love the Lord, their family, and their community. Randy works in the banking industry as a commercial banker and Linda is a family management specialist (aka homemaker). They believe that the hope for communities like North Canton (and all creation) can be found only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is Randy and Linda’s intention to invest their time, talent, and treasures in things that will last: people and the Word of God.

Our

Deacons

We would love to see everyone serving and being involved in an area that they are passionate about and spiritually gifted in. One of the functions of our deacon ministry is to help meet the needs of those in the church and to get people involved in using their gifts to do the same. Feel free to contact one of our deacons below and let them know who you are and how you would like to help.
